Mathilda, 6, is the eldest and has landed a role in a Bridgerton-style film as the daughter of his lead character, Alicia. Before long, Annette grows suspicious and begins reading the messages exchanged between her husband and the glamorous movie star.
Unfortunately, the three main characters are presented as deceitful, manipulative and quite unlikeable beings
Deeper marital discord is revealed as jealousy escalates, while the film settles into a dynamic that feels at once glossy and provincial. The plot follows the familiar path of implausible suspense thrillers until it reaches a surprising twist, a melodramatic ending and an over-the-top climax.
